(This class was originally offered by Big Bend Hospice for their community but limited seating is now being offered for the general public.)
COOKING FOR ONE- This Thursday, February 21 at 6pm we will explore strategies to make cooking for one- less of a chore and less boring! We will discuss proper techniques for food storage to extend shelf life for food, money saving strategies for getting the best value and flavor for your dollar, and go over the art of sautéing as we make a delicious one pan dinner of Sautéed Chicken with Seasonal Vegetables. We will also teach and make a satisfying Hawaiian Ramen Salad- a terrific dinner for 1- and finally follow with Accordion Baked Apples for dessert.
Cost of class is $40 and participants receive a recipe packet and a full meal of the featured dishes from the demonstration. Chilled water and coffee are available; and as always guests may bring a favorite beverage to drink responsibly.
